Sydney Water BOS/BAS letter

A Sydney Water building over sewer (BOS), also known as a building over adjacent to asset advice (BAS) letter tells you if Sydney Water approved a building close to, or over, Sydney Water pipes. 

Selling agents and conveyancers use the letter to determine if a building on a property has been built with Sydney Water approval.

Sydney Water must approve all buildings and structures that need approval from council or a private certifier.

• Sydney Water have ongoing access to maintain pipes and structure.
