How changes to verifying identity is impacting the way you do business

Identity fraud impacts millions of Australians each year. With states across the country formalising verification of identity (VOI) requirements to prevent fraud. VOI is no longer about just complying with regulations, but also about protecting your firm and making sure you have a VOI solution in place that prevents financial loss, reputational damage, regulatory penalties and legal action.

Manual VOI is time-consuming and concerns about document security have brought resistance to digital verification. However, these key elements of daily legal practice have now been addressed with InfoTrackID which now comes with an integrated Client Authorisation Form (CAF).

Introducing the integrated Client Authorisation Form

InfoTrack is taking InfoTrackID to the next level by providing users with an integrated Client Authorisation Form (CAF). This easy to access document enables clients to authorise a conveyancer or solicitor to act on their behalf in a conveyancing transaction.

Why is a Client Authorisation form required?

A CAF is required whenever a conveyancer or solicitor represents a client in a transaction in an electronic lodgement network (ELNO). The CAF gives a conveyancer or solicitor the authority to sign and lodge documents and authorise financial transactions in an ELNO workspace, whilst supporting your efforts to remain compliant.

There is no additional charge to add the CAF to a InfoTrackID, even if you select the option to sign electronically.
