InfoTrack team in 2017

2017, what a whirlwind year! On behalf of the team at InfoTrack, I would like to say that I am extremely proud and humbled by our progress as a company. We really are effortlessly evolving from the information broker that we once were to the SaaS providing, disruptive and innovative tech company that we are now.

Whether you’re a lawyer, accountant or sole trader seeking consumer products, our goal is to simplify your life with our integrated searching and innovative services.

Without further ado, I’d like to take a few moments to reflect on the year and celebrate our triumphs.

Creation of the Innovation team

Until 2017 we didn’t have dedicated innovation resources; it was just woven into our culture and processes informally. So, in March we created a new team, dedicated to innovation. We knew we had to create a team free from the constraints of day-to-day development tasks; a diverse team with an appetite for risk and room to test boundaries. The Innovation team is made up of a wide range of senior developers who bring diverse expertise to the mix and are solely focused on the next generation of InfoTrack products and blue-sky thinking. Since its conception, the team have already created 19 new products, as well as a B2C side of our business.

Acquisition of CreditorWatch

In September of 2017, InfoTrack successfully acquired CreditorWatch, the fastest growing commercial credit bureau in Australia.
InfoTrack and CreditorWatch are tremendously complementary and the coming together of the two businesses creates a huge opportunity to offer more value to our respective clients’ bases. Watch this space!

The HR Department

This time last year, InfoTrack had 169 people. Today we have 351.
One of the things we love doing at InfoTrack is enabling internal career progression. In 2017, there was a total of 59 internal transfers; two of those to international businesses and eight to sister companies. In addition to all of the hiring, our HR department delivered 224 days of training and 262 iNominations were made to those employees who went above and beyond in their work.

InfoTrack Manual Services

Despite the growth of electronic settlements, our manual services teams made 200, 000 settlements in 2017. This has only been made possible by our building of our manual services offering by bringing together the best in the field, including InfoTrack, Scott Ashwood, Morris Hayes and Edgar, Absolute Settlements and DKL Law.

eConveyancing

2017 saw us continue to help the transition to e2e eConveyancing. Breaking our own record with 12, 000 eCOS orders made per month!

Consumer Offering

2017 also saw InfoTrack open their product offerings to a consumer audience as well, with over 17, 000 consumer orders placed!

Awards

Our culture is based on caring about our workforce so that in turn we care about our customers. The awards that we received in 2017 are a testament to our drive and determination to do best by our clients.

Sydney to Hobart Yacht race

InfoTrack is very proud to have completed the 2017 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race in its first year competing. The team included eight InfoTrack handlers who have never competed in an ocean race before, including owner and InfoTrack founder Christian Beck.

If you’ve been following InfoTrack (the business) for a while now, you’d be well aware of the fact that we are always pushing our boundaries; the boat was no different! Competing in the Rolex Sydney to Hobart race was a company BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) and we are so proud to have been a part of such a prestigious event.
It was definitely a big year, to say the least! I’d like to wish everyone all the best for the new year – here’s to an even bigger 2018!
