Bulimba’s popularity shines as Queensland’s most searched suburb for property

The Brisbane suburb of Bulimba is proving to be a top choice for prospective home buyers with the latest property data showing it is the most searched suburb in Queensland.

The latest figures from property experts InfoTrack reveal the affluent inner south pocket, just four kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, had the highest number of suburb searches ordered on the InfoTrackGO site of any Queensland location from January to July this year.

It was the only suburb outside of New South Wales to make the national Top 10 list.

InfoTrackGO spokesperson Sandra Falzon said Bulimba’s riverside location makes it highly desirable.

The InfoTrackGO site allows prospective buyers to instantly do their research on specific properties by ordering Title searches, plans or valuation reports for properties they’re looking to buy,” Ms Falzon said.

“It means buyers are better informed about the properties they’re interested in and can quickly identify if there are any approved developments in the area, if the property is in a flood zone, or on contaminated land, and if renovation plans would be possible, all things that affect buying decisions.”

With the Spring bumper selling season on the horizon, more and more Australians are putting extensive time into research so they can move quickly when it comes time to putting in an offer.

Bulimba took out the top spot in the Sunshine State, followed by Surfers Paradise, Burleigh Heads, Redbank Plains, and Birkdale.

National figures show Sydney’s North Shore suburb of Mosman had the highest number of suburb reports ordered across the country.

The Top 10 Queensland suburbs searched on InfoTrackGO from January – July 2023:

  1. Bulimba
  2. Surfers Paradise
  3. Burleigh Heads
  4. Redbank Plains
  5. Birkdale
  6. Mermaid Waters
  7. Clontarf
  8. Pimpama
  9. Palm Beach
  10. Camp Hill

As well as property and suburb reports, Australians can also use the InfoTrackGO site to carry out company and individual searches.
