InfoTrack announces 2019 Sydney to Hobart crew

Off the back of their 4th placing in 2018, the InfoTrack supermaxi will again be competing in the 2019 Rolex Sydney to Hobart.

InfoTrack will be raced by a highly experienced crew, including some of the world’s most sought-after ocean racers. The crew has sailed 138 Sydney Hobarts between them, and many were part of the 2016 winning team.

Again chasing line honours, Skipper Joe (Black) Akacich has said, “The crew are highly prepared this year. Strong willed and eager to win, the crew have been taking advantage of important races and experiencing all that comes with preparing for one of the most gruelling, long ocean races in the world.”

The professional sailors will be joined by three InfoTrack staff members. Kristy Bullock, Denis Niclair and Josh Bicknell. For all three staff members, this is their first Sydney to Hobart.

When beginning Sydney to Hobart training, Bullock commented, “Sydney to Hobart is a huge opportunity that I just couldn’t say no to. I am so grateful and am looking forward to the thrill and experience.”

Bullock will be the only female on board with the 2019 crew. “I am sailing to prove to myself that I can!”

Bullock and the crew are living up to the values of InfoTrack, the legal technology innovator by being agile, fast-moving, risk takers and ahead of the crowd.
In an effort to live up to the title of ‘fastest super maxi in the world’, the crew are hoping for the right winds to back their course.
