When AI moves from interesting to useful

Event Description

For this episode of InFocus, we explore what separates organisations that are experimenting with AI from those that are successfully making it part of the way people work.

Joining the conversation are Kahu Tawhai, Applied AI Specialist Solutions Architecture Leader at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ben Lehman, Chief Innovation Officer at Faculti, and Kristy Lee Bullock, Chief Product Officer at InfoTrack.

Together, they’ll examine why access to powerful AI is only the beginning: how leadership, behaviour, trusted data, governance and the way technology fits into existing work all influence whether people actually choose to use it.

The discussion will look at what firms can learn from those already putting AI into practice, what happens when AI moves from simply assisting to taking action, and how legal and conveyancing professionals can embrace new technology while maintaining the judgement, accountability and trust their clients depend on.

Ultimately, the conversation asks a more useful question than whether firms should adopt AI: What does it take for AI to become truly valuable in the way professionals work?

What you'll hear

  • What separates organisations experimenting with AI from those effectively adopting it
  • The practitioner experience of embedding agentic AI (Fai) across ~1,000 staff at Faculti and Thomsons
  • What makes new technology trusted and easy enough to become part of everyday practice
  • How leadership, behaviour, trusted data and governance shape adoption
  • What happens when AI moves from simply assisting to taking action
  • How professionals can adopt AI while maintaining judgement, accountability and client trust

*If you are in the legal industry you can claim 1 CPD unit per hour for InfoTrack seminars under practice management and business skills. Practitioners residing in WA cannot claim CPD points from InfoTrack training through the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia.

As CPD requirements vary between professional associations, the onus is on the attendee to engage with their relevant professional association/body to determine whether participation in this workshop can be counted towards their profession’s CPD requirement under their accrediting body.

We will provide a certificate of attendance that outlines the session duration and learning outcomes, which you can use to support your own assessment towards meeting the CPD requirement
