Surfers Paradise has ranked a clear number one in Queensland’s Top 10 list of the most popular suburbs for property sales, according to the latest property report.
Prop tech firm InfoTrack has released its latest sales data to determine the State’s buyer hotspots from January 1 to March 31 this year.
Four Gold Coast suburbs made the list in InfoTrack’s Property Market Update Q1 2024 – joining Surfers Paradise was Southport at number three, Pimpama at number five, and Hope Island at number seven.
InfoTrack’s Head of Property Lee Bailie said the Gold Coast is one of Australia’s most sought-after locations.
“The Gold Coast is a lifestyle location like no other. Not only does it have famous beaches like Surfers Paradise, but it is a thriving urban hub with world class facilities, retail outlets, and it offers every amenity you would find in a major city,” Mr Bailie said.
InfoTrack’s Property Market Update Q1 2024 also found another coastal mecca – the pristine Sunshine Coast – was a top choice for buyers, with Maroochydore coming in at number four on the list.
“Maroochydore has become a property hotspot, after it was declared a priority development site by the Queensland Government. We have seen new apartments, a green open space, a lake, and commercial facilities all adding to its appeal,” Mr Bailie said.
“When we consider it’s just an hour’s drive north of Brisbane and only 10 minutes from Sunshine Coast airport, it’s easy to understand why buyers are looking to Maroochydore to purchase property.”
The beautiful Moreton Bay region also featured in InfoTrack’s Property Market Update Q1 2024, with Morayfield at number two, and Caboolture at number six.
The Redlands suburb of Thornlands was named at eight.
“In these suburbs, we see great affordability for buyers wanting to get a foothold in the market,” Mr Bailie said.
No Brisbane suburbs were named in the top 10.
