Mosman continues to be a top choice for prospective home buyers with the latest property data showing it is the most searched suburb in Australia.
The latest figures from property experts InfoTrack reveal Sydney’s North Shore hub of Mosman had the highest number of suburb reports ordered on the InfoTrackGO site from January to July this year.
InfoTrackGO’s spokesperson Sandra Falzon said Mosman has long been a desirable location for Australians interested in purchasing property.
“The InfoTrackGO site allows prospective buyers to instantly do their own research on specific properties by ordering Title Searches, Plans or valuation reports for properties they’re looking to buy.” Ms Falzon said.
“It means buyers are better informed about the properties they’re interested in and can quickly identify if there are any approved developments in the area, if the property is in a flood zone or on contaminated land and if renovation plans would be possible, all things that affect buying decisions.”
Mosman took out the top place nationally, beating out suburbs in every other State, including the property hotspots Castle Hill in Sydney’s northwest, the Gold Coast’s Surfer’s Paradise, Richmond in Melbourne’s inner city, and Burswood in Perth’s inner southeast.
Ms Falzon said heading into the Spring bumper selling season, more and more Australians are carrying out their own research, so they are better informed and can move quickly when it comes time to putting in an offer.
“We see New South Wales continues to be a hot property market with Sydney suburbs taking out the top 9 spots of more than 60 suburbs regularly searched on InfoTrackGO this year,” she said.
“Bulimba, in Brisbane’s inner south, was the only suburb outside of New South Wales to make the top 10.”
