A compliance solution that did not exist ten months ago is now in use by more than nine thousand Australian firms and has just been recognised as the public’s favourite piece of technology innovation in the country. InfoTrack’s AML/CTF Compliance Centre has won the People’s Choice Award in the technology innovation category at the 2026 Finder Innovation Awards and was also named a finalist in the judged Best Tech Innovation category for the same programme.
The Compliance Centre was built to help lawyers, conveyancers, accountants, and real estate agents meet their obligations under AUSTRAC’s Tranche 2 reforms, developed in collaboration with Grant Thornton Australia, advisers to AUSTRAC, and built from the regulator’s official Starter Kits. It brings onboarding, verification, and reporting workflows into a single, complimentary solution that sits inside a firm’s existing practice management system, so no new technology needs to be learned, and no additional platform fee applies.
“When we sat down with Grant Thornton to translate AUSTRAC’s Tranche 2 requirements into a single workflow, we knew the real test would be whether practitioners found it genuinely easier to stay compliant. Hearing that directly from firms face to face, and now seeing it reflected in a public vote, tells us the Compliance Centre is doing what we built it to do” said Lee Bailie, Chief Operating Officer at InfoTrack.
The dual recognition reflects two distinct forms of validation. The People’s Choice Award is determined by public vote, indicating that InfoTrack’s platform has earned genuine recognition amongst those who use the technology day-to-day. The judged finalist placement in the technology innovation category reflects a separate assessment against Finder’s independent expert panel criteria.
“A public vote is a different kind of validation to a judging panel.” Lee expanded. “It tells us that the firms navigating Tranche 2 right now, often under significant time pressure, chose to put their name behind this result. That matters more to us. It is a signal that the wider industry sees the Compliance Centre as a genuine fit for how firms are adapting to Tranche 2”.
