Caboolture Queensland’s Top Spot for House Sales

New figures show Caboolture has topped the list for Queensland’s bestselling suburbs for houses. Sales and conveyancing data recorded by InfoTrack for last quarter confirms Caboolture is a property hot spot. InfoTrack’s Head of Property Australia, Lee Bailie said Caboolture beat out prime locations across South East Queensland, including five suburbs on the Gold Coast to be named the number one suburb for house sales.

“Caboolture had the highest volume of house sales from 1 July to 30 September of any suburb across the State,” Mr Bailie said. “It came in ahead of Morayfield, Redbank Plains, Upper Coomera, Pimpama, Buderim, Redland Bay, Helensvale, Burleigh Waters and Broadbeach Waters. “It overtook Redbank Plains which slipped from first spot last quarter to third position.”

InfoTrack’s Q3 2022 Property Market Update found Caboolture also attracted top dollar for property.

“Caboolture came in at number four in the State’s top 10 suburbs for purchase price last quarter, ahead of locations like Helensvale and Burleigh Waters,” Mr Bailie said.

InfoTrack’s data showed houses continue to be the number one choice for homeowners purchasing in Queensland.

“Houses made up almost three-quarters of all sales (72%) across Queensland last quarter,” Mr Bailie said. “Having said that, houses have slipped in popularity by 7% since last quarter, and instead, we’ve seen a 3% increase in home unit sales from 15% in the first half of the year to 18% in the last quarter.”

“That is despite interest rate rises. Queensland’s combination of lifestyle, climate, and housing affordability has seen record numbers of southerners move to the Sunshine State. Caboolture’s performance across house sales last quarter proves its popularity,” he said.
