Brisbane's heritage suburbs among Queensland's most researched properties

Brisbane’s heritage suburbs have proven a top choice for prospective property buyers in 2024 with several established locations among the State’s most researched suburbs.

The latest data from prop tech firm InfoTrack reveals inner city New Farm was the most searched for suburb in QLD on the InfoTrackGo site from January to December this year.

InfoTrackGO offers an extensive range of reports to potential property buyers, equipping them with the information they need to make an informed property purchase.

InfoTrackGO Spokesperson Sandra Falzon said while New Farm boasted the highest volume of searches over the year, interest in the suburb peaked in March and April.

“This riverside suburb is just five kilometres from the Brisbane CBD with an abundance of stunning heritage houses as well as architecturally designed homes on offer for the discerning buyer,” Ms Falzon said.

“New Farm features trendy cafes and restaurants, access to beautiful New Farm Park, and flat leafy streets, making it one of Brisbane’s most aspirational lifestyle suburbs.”

In joint second place on the list of Queensland’s most coveted locations was Chelmer, a heritage suburb in Brisbane’s southwest, and the Ipswich suburb of Raceview.

“Chelmer is known for its grand Queenslanders and large blocks on tree-lined streets. It’s the ultimate in family living. Raceview offers beautiful older homes, and its location means great value can be found there.”

Other sought-after established Brisbane suburbs on the list include Wooloowin, Kelvin Grove, Sherwood, Gordon Park, Yeronga, and Lutwyche.
For coastal living, the Gold Coast’s Palm Beach and Sunshine Coast’s Kiels Mountain proved popular.

Ms Falzon said the InfoTrackGo site allows would-be buyers to take research into their own hands so they are fully informed through the buying process.

“Buyers can order title searches on specific properties, access property valuation reports, or get details on approved developments in the area,” she said.
“They can also discover the history of a property, what type of developments are possible, and details on flood zones or contaminated land, helping to ensure they are fully informed when it comes time to renovating or putting in an offer.”
