INFOTRACK nails a respectful 2nd place in 2019 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race

Technology company InfoTrack is very proud with its result in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, coming in second place in a time of 1day 19hrs 14mins 42secs, with its 2016 race record of 1day 13hrs 31mins 20secs still intact.

Owner Christian Beck now who has competed in his third Sydney to Hobart on board InfoTrack. “Congratulations to the crew of InfoTrack,” says Christian, “they were absolutely incredible during the race. Their professionalism and talent were outstanding.”

“I just wanted to be the first out of the Heads, all of the rest is simply a bonus and something to be improved on next year. The boat has really lived up to her name and InfoTrack’s high performance company values which are all about setting big goals, continually improving and being determined to be the best. This is a good result to build on next year. I want to thank the amazing crew and onshore support team who prepared the boat so well and raced her so finely,” continues Christian.

Tony Mutter adds: “I’ve never been so happy to come second in my life, I’d have to say. It was awesome, great start, great race, and an awesome bunch of people. Everyone got on really well, raced hard.. it wasn’t an easy race, and well we’re here.”

CEO John Ahern who sailed on board the 2018 InfoTrack Super Maxi said “I’m a proud spectator and a very satisfied sponsor of the outcome of this event.”

InfoTrack was raced by a highly experienced Sydney Hobart crew including Skipper Joe Akacich, Sailing master Tony Mutter, Watch captain Chris Nicholson, Engineer Ty Oxley, Navigator Bradshaw Kellet, Pitman Curtis Blewett, Trimmer Lucas Chapman, Trimmer Alex Gough, Bowman Mitch White, Driver/Trimmer Brad Jackson, Bowman Carlos Hernandez, Driver/Trimmer Antonio Mons, Trimmer Guillermo Altadill, Trimmer Mal Parker, Sail Carrier Steve Wallace, Sail Carrier Roger Snell, Mid Bow Mustafa Ingham and support sailor Patrick Coghlan and CreditorWatch sponsor.

The professional sailors were supported by three InfoTrack staff members, all also participating in their first ocean race as handlers: Kristy Bullock, Denis Niclair, Josh Bicknell.
